Fiona Paine Art.
I am a local artist, from Dunedin who has been keeping creative since Graduating from Otago Polytechnic School of Fine Art in 2006 and Otago Polytechnic School of Fashion design in 2008.
Recently I have been spending more time focusing on my art practice, delving into printmaking and exploring drypoint etching.
Each piece begins with an image scratched into a print plate, then inked and hand printed.
My ‘Snapshots of our city’ series showcases many small, limited edition, hand printed and watercolour painted images of the buildings and scenery in my beautiful home, Dunedin.
Also on display at the Makers lounge is my 'Winter Beach Adventures' series of black and white drypoint etchings. These works show my toddler's adventures quietly exploring our local coastline on moody winters days.
I love creating special works for people and am available for commissions in both dry point etching and mixed media styles.
