Dani Hibson of Pacific Tones NZ.

Dani is a first-generation New Zealander with a rich heritage of Northern Irish and Niuean descent. 

After experiencing the profound traumatic loss of a parent after a long horrible illness in 2016, Dani transformed her career to become a makeup artist, immersing herself in the world of colours and creativity. 

This pivotal change not only honed her artistic skills but also deepened her appreciation for the transformative power of art.

In 2018, Dani was diagnosed with PTSD. 

Embracing nature and the healing power of New Zealand’s whenua (land) became a crucial part of her recovery.

She discovered that even a simple image or colour connected to nature can positively alter brain chemistry and activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and healing.

Dani's art is not only inspired by nature but also intended to support mental health. 

Her creations aim to provide viewers with a sense of grounding and tranquillity, offering a therapeutic experience through visual and tactile engagement. 

Through Pacific Tones NZ, Dani hopes to share the healing beauty of nature and contribute to the well-being of others, one piece at a time.
